Nicola Troehler is a worldwide working director and photographer based in Zurich, Switzerland.

His works demonstrate a unique blend of visual artistry, often layering images to construct an impossible reality. Troehler's works are hyperfocused. And yet, their emotive nature still embodies a sense of wonder, dream, and magic — ultimately forcing the viewer to deploy curiosity to grasp his conceptual work fully.

Further, he doesn’t shy away from challenging what could be by merging digitally created elements like 3D renders into his projects, exploring the space between reality and dreams. Nicola Troehler grew up in the Swiss countryside. He developed an interest in design, film, and photography early on. After attending art school in Winterthur, Switzerland, he moved on to follow his passion for directing and photography.
